Narrowed front axle with disk brakes. rebuilt steering box and king and link pins.Gas shocks all round.
IRS rear with 1600 Fastback gearbox.
Currently on temporary BRM alloys, as I needed the wider tyres front and rear to improve stability and motorway cruising.

I'm on my 2nd roof rack so far, but a bigger 3rd is due soon.
The engine is a rebuilt and reliable stock 1584cc at present, with electronic ignition being the only non standard modification.
A new engine has been built and will be going in for the 2015 season.
This is a GAC Motorsport 2017cc stroker with Twin Dellorto 40's.
All the windows are Creative Engineering polished aluminium opening units.
Front Safaris, Rear safari and 8 down the sides.
The interior is by Airteriors, and features a full width Rock n Roll bed, curved units, a fridge and a pop up TV.
The whole family including our dog regularily attend show all over the country. It has taken a while to get this bus to a stage where you can confidently jump in it and reliably go anywhere in it, and this is what we do. We love it as our family weekend car.

1961 gulf blue RHD ragtop bug
Best bit!!! I got this car for nuda!!!!! A family friend oversaw me reading Volkswagen and retorted with the classic line " I didn't know you were into them", anyway long story short car had day unused in his mums garage since 75!!! Two years after telling me about the car I get a call asking if I wanted to go take a look as his mum had passed away an they needed to clear the house!!! I couldn't get to Edmonton fast enough!!! After breaking the doors open that had been bolted shut in 75 there she was covered in dust!!! Long story short I was given the car on proviso that when done I take the former owner for a spin!!! Reeeesult!!! Anyway rock solid, og RHD ragtop!!! I have decided that this is going to be my son Josh's first car!! He is 11. Now so I have some time to collect bits!!! Plans are going black with narrowed beam, gas burners, red ragtop and interior and some accessories and pin striping!!! And get this that's all his choice not mine!!! Watch this space!!!

This is my 1969 bay window, which was originally a microbus and spent most of its life in Sacramento, in the sunny state of California, U.S.A., so she is pretty much rust free. (at the moment) She was imported sometime in 2010 and I purchased her in September 2011. Since owning her I have removed the old rear microbus seats and fitted an original Westfalia interior complete with 3/4 rock and roll bed, wardrobe, buddy seat and overhead locker. I have had the rock and roll bed and buddy seat recovered to match the colour of the bus. I have also made a cooker unit, and replaced the old torn fabric headliner with 3mm ply. The bus is fully insulated and sound proofed. Recently I had a leisure battery and propex heater fitted.
I like to go to as many shows and club meets as possible, and I have a VW related blog http://my1969vwmicrobus.blogspot.co.uk/ in which I write about the places I go, the vehicles I see and the people I meet.
Joe Newell Recently acuired from James Bugg, thanks James love it! 1957 Mk1 GP, converted in the early 60's, 1641cc with mild cam, twin 34 dell Frd's and dual cannons keep things simple but adequate on the power front. The body was repaired to original design, all the wiring was replaced as were all the components. Chassis was strengthened and the buggy rebuilt fully prior to stripping for paint. With no mod cons, the buggy was built with simplicity and reduced things to go wrong in mind, so just a cb conversation.
Had a great summer running around in this including a top Cruise with about 30 other buggies through London. Check out my video below:

She came from near snowdonia in Wales and was purchased as a reasonable condition bug, HOWEVER 6 months later, purchasing parts almost every day, every weekend working on her she was finally MOTed. That was 3 years ago now so its all water under the bridge and she is now used as a daily drive. Also know as 'Ratilda'

I have owned this1971 bay since 2006 when it was a completely original red Dormobile. His name is Cuthbert and he was a little bit rough around the edges to say the least, but I got it knowing I would be restoring it. It was in restoration for around 4 years where it had many panels replaced and a bare metal respray in VW Golf R32 blue (deep pearl blue). I got it back as a shell and continued the restoration on my mum and dads drive. I am always doing something to it, I don't think there will ever be a day when I say ‘well thats finished’. It has a complete camping interior as me and my family use it for camping on a regular basis.

1972 VW Beetle (CAL Look)
This beetle had been left in a garage for 12 years.
It was in need of some TLC and I took on the challenge with some help from some friends.
It is still a work in progress
I believe it was CAL look back in the late 90's when it had a full restoration by Grizzly Bear Air Cooled Centre
Original color was orange but when restored was sprayed a lovely lilac
We have called her "Lilly" and have had many enjoyable drives

I fell in love with my bus the moment I saw it inadvertently on German eBay.
You know when you get that feeling in your stomach when overly excited? Yes, that feeling x10.
I'd never considered a late bay window, or indeed was looking to buy a bus at all since I had a variant and an oval at home, but I knew instantly it was destiny that she was mine!
After travelling across 5 countries to collect her in 2012 she joined the family and is now all road legal, (after a little mechanical work) lowered, mopped and waxed to protect the patina and is waiting on a new interior ready to go in.
I adore this bus and I'm extremely proud to say I own a LATE bay window sign written bus.

'71 early bay with twin sliding doors. I have done a lot to it so far including jacking points, outriggers, cargo floor etc. Engine is 1641 with high pressure oil pump and a few other bits I want to put on. Pretty much a full restoration, won't be much that hasn't had work done on it. Hopefully on the road soon!
